Meal Replacement Shake – 3 Ways to Prepare Protein Shakes
Three Ways For Preparing Protein Shakes
Protein shakes is a kind of protein drinks that prepared by inserting nutritious protein powder with certain amount of plain water, shake it with the shaker, and serve immediately.
Protein shake offered in different type of flavor and ingredients, but main content still is protein. This meal replacement can use for substituting normal meal by the objective of weight loss. The protein powder was extracted and process from high-tech biochemical stages and some of it priced expensively due to the reason of huge budget has been allocated for food research and testing.
There were three types of protein shakes you can prepare cater for individual preferences and taste. The shakes will be added with different kind of healthy food like fresh fruits and cereal for enhance its nutritional value. The three sample protein shakes that I mentioned earlier can be explained as below:
Shake protein powder with fruit juice.
Shake protein powders with fresh squeeze fruit juice and serve it with ice cube. This protein shakes taste great and it is very suitable for serve during summer when weather is hot. The protein powder contained about 44g and plain water needed only about 300 cc.
Shake protein powder with multi-flavored non-fat milk.
Non fat milk can enhance the nutrition content of protein shakes especially for calcium and mineral salt. Medical research has shown that protein shake come with non-fat milk can help sustaining a dieter for not feeling hungry for longer period if comparing for consuming protein shakes itself only.
Shake protein powder with cereal.
Additional step required for preparing this shakes but I was not complicated. First what you need to do is preparing the protein drinksby shake the protein powders with plain water and keep it a side first. Then pour hot water for a packet of low-fat low sugar cereal drinks and make sure you mix it well. Then what you need to do is pour the protein drinks that you shake earlier to cereal mixture. This protein shakes is a bit different from others as mentioned earlier as it contained solid fiber which good for body detoxification. Hence this drinks also suitable for elderly age dieters whom required more nutrition for health.

The Benefits of Protein Powders
The Benefits of Protein Powders
What is protein powder? Benefits of protein powders…
I know protein is good for me, but do I need a supplement? Whey, egg, casein and soy which one protein is right for me and what does each one do?
Let’s get the facts straight. Protein exists in virtually everything that moves and makes sounds, or in almost any animal. Primary dietary protein sources include fish, eggs, chicken, pork, beef, venison, buffalo and many other wild animals.
But which is the best source of protein? Ah, the million dollar question. As with any supplement, no protein powder will match what Mother Nature provides on earth. Natural proteins deliver more quality nutrients to your body than any protein powder ever could. Still, protein powders do have their place.
Scientist have come a long way in their development of protein supplements, including how they taste. Even recently, the best you could hope for with a protein shake was that you could choke it down in spite of its chalky taste and consistency. Now they actually taste good. Today there are plenty of protein powders and meal replacement shakes on the market. The key is finding the best quality products with the highest level of bioavailability.
Your primary source of protein should be meat, fish, poultry, eggs and other seafood. The protein source should be organic and grass-fed, free-range or wild. These furnish the body with the highest quality protein, provided that they are not cooked, or cooked very lightly, because heat denatures protein (kills proteins).
Other sources include commercial meats, farm-raised fish, and other genetically modified organisms like soy. Protein also can be found in other foods like nuts, legumes, some veggies and certain grains. However, your best sources of protein for packing on the muscle are organic meat and fish.
Protein shakes or meal replacements should be the last place you should look to fulfill your body’s protein requirements. Although they can be beneficial, remember, nothing beats Mother Nature’s proteins not even a scientist-developed protein for making you healthy and strong. Protein supplements are particularly useful for vegans, vegetarians and non-meat eaters, as well as for people with problems digesting heavy proteins or whose lifestyle prevents them from consuming proteins during the day.
A protein drink or meal-replacement shake is a great morning meal for those get-up-and-go types who only are short on time but understand how important breakfast is to losing fat and gaining muscle. Breakfast is the most important meal of any healthy diet, so a quick protein shake is a must for people who just don’t have time to prepare a good breakfast.
The best protein powders or shakes are made from egg or whey. Use casein, protein from dairy products, sparingly. Avoid soy proteins, as these are the cheapest products you can buy and typically are genetically modified. Genetic modification means scientists have altered the organism from its natural state, a practice discouraged by most non-soy-paid scientists. Do your own independent research if you like, but always consider the source. Take with a grain of salt the comments of "specialists" who are paid by companies to say theirs is the best stuff for your body.
Remember, these are general protein recommendations. If there’s something on this list that you are allergic to, that obviously would not be a good product for you. A food allergy test is recommended before you begin any supplementation program to determine if you have specific allergies and if there are particular substances your body has problems processing.
One last note: All the protein in the world won’t help you if your body is deprived of other nutrients, such as essential vitamins and minerals. For optimal health, make sure you consume enough protein, eat organic and supplement with a great multivitamin.
The Number One Recommended Protein Products that will deliver your body the highest amounts of quality protein. These Supplements will give you the most gains and help you lose the most fat.

Meal Replacement Drinks
Meal Replacement Drinks
The idea behind meal replacement drinks has been around for a long time. Why? Because it works. In order to achieve weight loss, you must reduce your caloric intake. If you normally consume X amount of calories a particular meal, replacing that meal with a drink totaling less than X calories will result in weight loss.
They are many forms of meal replacement drinks on the market today. Slim-Fast canned shakes maybe be the most wide known. There is also Carnation Instant Breakfast. Plus you have the Atkins Nutritionals drink. The newcomer to weight loss drinks is the whey protein shake. This is the new meal replacement that is producing dramatic results.
The only requirements for meal replacement drinks are that they must provide the nutritional equivalent of the meal being replaced. It also must suppress your appetite as if you eaten normally.
Most meal replacement drinks adequately supply your body with the needed nutrients. They often have low amounts of fats and carbohydrates, but you’ll get plenty of these from your regular meals. The drinks tend to contain protein and fiber. Fiber by definition means your body doesn’t absorb it. The dense cell wall of plant material like celery is not digestible, and it categorized as fiber. Protein is absorbed, and it is required by your body. However, your body doesn’t store protein like it stores fats or carbohydrates. Instead, unused protein in the bloodstream is passed from the body. This makes protein the logical, major component of any weight loss shake. Your body also requires several vitamins and minerals. Adding a multivitamin will supply any nutrients missing from your shake or regular meals.
Most meal replacement drinks do no satisfy the appetite. They do not fulfill the second requirement. I personally have used both Carnation Instant Breakfast and Slim-Fast. I found I was hungry about one hour after drinking the shake. The reduction in calories from your regular meal often leaves you craving food.
Whey shakes are better for a few reasons. One, the whey shake contains a very high level of protein. It can often be 20 grams or more. This is likely more than you body can absorb at a single time. Ingesting that much protein will make you feel full.
Two, the University of Surrey in England studied whey protein and appetite suppressing hormones such as cholecystokinin.1. The study found that whey produces feelings of satisfaction. The reduced appetite caused reduce caloric intake and weight loss.
Three, whey protein studies have shown the ability to regulate blood sugar levels. This leads to more even of blood sugar throughout the day, decreasing food cravings and reducing the storage of fat.
Whey meal replacement drinks are more satisfying than other drinks. You will be less hungry, and likely to consume fewer calories during normal meals as a result.
Whey shakes also provide some other benefits. High levels of protein prevent your body from cannibalizing muscle tissue that normally occurs when you diet. You keep the muscle and lose fat. You stop feeling hungry and avoid placing your body into starvation mode where it conserves calories. Whey protein helps remove fat deposits from the waist or hips.
